La Limera Pine Forest, situated less than 40 minutes from Mojácar, is an inviting outdoor location offering a variety of amenities for visitors.

The journey to La Limera, although challenging due to the winding and steep roads (which can get bad after storms), is a part of the adventurous outing which ultimately leads to a serene natural retreat.

Be warned though, that it's not for nervous drivers, there are several difficult-to-pass areas of the road next to steep cliffs. It is passable in a regular car, but a 4x4 will make for a more comfortable drive.

One of the standout features of La Limera is its provision of over 20 outdoor BBQ grills which are available for public use (at certain times of the year) free of charge.

Accommodating the dining setup, around 20 benches are spread out in the area, providing plenty of shaded seating space for visitors to enjoy their BBQ while soaking in the breathtaking views that surround them.

Adding to the rustic charm is a fresh water fountain which is a source of clean(ish) drinking water, ensuring the visitors are not left without. I would highly recommend taking your own bottled water though as the the source of the water isn't the cleanest.
